VinaOpen

VinaOpen connects Vietnamese suppliers of seafood, agricultural produce, food and handicrafts with overseas importers. 123Website built the marketplace on WordPress with a custom core: verified supplier profiles, a buying-request board (RFQ), quotes, membership plans, four services that support a transaction, and a Vue.js dashboard for buyers and suppliers.

Clients

Who VinaOpen is

VinaOpen (Vietnam Global Trade) is a B2B marketplace based in Ho Chi Minh City that takes Made in Vietnam goods to international markets. Vietnamese suppliers list profiles and products. Overseas buyers source goods, post buying requests and use logistics, international payment and supplier verification.

  • Office257 Street 10, Phuoc Long Ward, TP.HCM
  • Product categoriesSeafood, agricultural produce, livestock, processed food, handicrafts, OCOP

The problem

One marketplace, two sides: buyers need trust, suppliers need to be seen

International buyers cannot visit every factory to check it, and Vietnamese suppliers find it hard to reach overseas clients on their own. The marketplace has to speak the language of trade: payment terms, Incoterms and minimum quantity, and give both sides a reason to trust each other.

  • 01

Find the right source of goods

A menu of 10 product groups, each split into several subcategory levels, with filters for verification, payment terms, Incoterms and country.

  • 02

    Reasons to trust a supplier

Superior and Verified labels, a trust score, year founded, staff count, certifications and buyer reviews.

  • 03

    Buyers post requests themselves

A purchase request (RFQ) states the goods, quantity, destination port and payment terms, and suppliers send quotes.

  • 04

A marketplace with a membership model

Basic, Premium and Superior plans for 1 to 12 months. Contact details are only partly shown to visitors who are not logged in.

Features

What vinaopen.com does for both sides

The marketplace is custom data types and an API written for VinaOpen, not an off-the-shelf marketplace plugin.

A supplier list with B2B filters

Filter by verification, category, payment terms (T/T, L/C, D/P...), Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW...) and country. Product cards show the price, unit, supplier and how many quotes have been sent.

Admin system

A Vue.js dashboard for both sides, with marketplace data in WordPress

After sign-in, buyers and suppliers work in a Vue.js dashboard: post buying requests, send and track quotes, and manage the company profile without reloading the page. Behind that, products, purchase requests, quotes and membership plans are custom content types in WordPress, with a B2B taxonomy: country, business type, number of employees, annual revenue, packing specification, currency, payment terms and Incoterms.

  • SuppliersA company profile, product listings and quotes sent against purchase requests.
  • BuyersPost a buying request, receive quotes and rate suppliers.

Technology

WordPress as the base, with a Vue.js dashboard for the marketplace

The buyer and supplier workspaces are a Vue.js dashboard that calls VinaOpen's own API. A child theme on Hello Elementor handles the public pages, and the about and service pages are built in Elementor Pro so they are easy to update.

The about and services sections went up first. Registration, the workspace, RFQs, quotes and guides for each side were added after that.
